There are usually two groups of people when it comes to steak marinades. Some people think a good steak doesn’t need a steak marinade and others can’t eat a steak without one.
If you got a Good Ranchers steak, we know you already have quality meat and it doesn’t need a marinade, but for those who prefer one, here are some of our favorite and easy-to-make steak marinade recipes and ideas. For all recipes, use however much marinade you prefer, but the common rule of thumb is ½ cup of marinade per 1 lb of steak.
1. Quick and Easy Steak Marinade Recipe:
Ingredients:
Good Ranchers Steak
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup oil
2-3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Whisk together all the ingredients in a bowl and transfer steaks and marinade to a Ziploc bag, tossing the steaks to fully coat them. Squeeze the bag to allow all excess air out of the bag and seal it. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes (or longer if you prefer to prep your steaks in the morning).
Grill steaks to desired temperature and let cool before cutting.
2. Fajita Steak Marinade Recipe:
Ingredients:
1/3 cup lime juice
1/3 cup pineapple juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Whisk together ingredients and transfer steak(s) and marinade to a Ziploc bag, tossing it around to fully coat it. Remove excess air from bag and refrigerate until ready to cook.
3. Simple and Easy Steak Marinade Recipe:
Ingredients:
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup lemon juice (this helps to tenderize a steak)
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
Dash of red pepper
2 tablespoons butter
fresh chopped parsley
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Whisk together ingredients in a small bowl and transfer steak and marinade into a Ziploc bag, removing all excess air. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
4. Overnight Steak Marinade Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 minced garlic clove
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (can sub white vinegar)
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Whisk all ingredients together in a bowl and transfer to a Ziploc bag with steaks and refrigerate until ready to cook, preferably overnight.
