Recipe by Tayia's Toast

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Good Ranchers ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan bread crumbs
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chopped oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage/lavender mix (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Meatball Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the following ingredients:

  • 1 pound of Good Ranchers ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup of Parmesan bread crumbs
  • 3 cloves of chopped garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh chopped oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sage/lavender mix (optional)

Step 2: Shape the Meatballs

Once all the ingredients are well-mixed, shape the mixture into 7-8 large meatballs. You can adjust the size to your preference.

Step 3: Sear the Meatballs

Heat a pan with olive oil over medium heat. Once the pan is hot, add the meatballs and sear them until they're browned on each side, which should take approximately 1-2 minutes per side. This initial searing will give them a nice, crispy exterior.

    Step 4: Remove the Meatballs

Remove the seared meatballs from the pan and set them aside for the time being.

    Step 5: Create Your Sauce

In the same pan you used to sear the meatballs, begin preparing your sauce of choice. You can use marinara sauce, tomato sauce, or any other sauce you prefer. Cook the sauce according to your recipe or personal taste.

Step 6: Simmer Meatballs in the Sauce

Once your sauce is ready, gently place the seared meatballs into the sauce. Allow them to simmer in the sauce for about 10-15 minutes. This will allow the meatballs to finish cooking and soak up all the delicious flavors of the sauce.

    Step 7: Serve and Enjoy

Once the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has infused them with flavor, it's time to serve. You can enjoy these Garlic Oregano Meatballs on their own, over pasta, or with a side of your choice. Garnish with additional fresh oregano if desired. These Garlic Oregano Meatballs are sure to be a hit at your dinner table.
