Good Ranchers Italian Sausage Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Good Ranchers’ Mild Italian Sausage
  • 1 lb Good Ranchers Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Italian Breadcrumbs
  • 1 and 1/3 cup Milk
  • 1/2 medium Onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 2 large Eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 tsp fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 2 tsp fresh Basil, chopped

 

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large mixing bowl, add Italian breadcrumbs and milk, combine and set aside for 5 minutes.

3. As the breadcrumbs are soaking, pulse the onion and garlic in a food processor to break them down. Add ground beef, ground pork sausage, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, parmesan cheese, parsley, and basil to the breadcrumb mixture and mix with your hands until just combined.  Do not overmix.

4. Roll mixture into meatballs about 2 inches in diameter and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.

5. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the meatballs have reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees.  Remove from oven and drain off any excess fat. 

6. Serve with your favorite sauce over the pasta of your choice and topped with extra Parmesan Cheese!
