IS YOUR BEEF GRASS-FED?
Yes, all of our beef is grass-fed & pasture raised. The difference comes in with finishing. This box contains grass-finished beef, meaning the cow only eats grass for its whole life. The traditional American way to finish a cow is by supplementing its grass diet with a hearty, vegetarian blend of grains that help the animal to reach its goal weight faster and with more rich marbling.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GRASS-FINISHED AND GRAIN-FINISHED BEEF?
The primary difference lies in how the cattle are fed in the final stages of their lives. All of our cows are grass-fed, which means they enjoy a natural diet of grass for the majority of their lives. From there, the finishing process determines the type of beef:\n\nGrass-Finished Beef: Cattle remain on a 100% grass-based diet for their entire lives. This approach produces leaner beef with a distinct, earthy flavor and a unique texture.\n\nGrain-Finished Beef: In contrast, grain-finished cattle have their diets supplemented with an all-natural, 100% vegetarian grain blend for the last 90 days of their lives. This enhances marbling and results in more tender, richly flavored beef. This is the traditional American way of raising cattle, and is the finishing process that produces steakhouse quality meat.
