7 Health Benefits Of Grass-Fed Grain Finished Meat

By Good Ranchers May 6, 2020

Where you get your meat from is a big deal, and one that is often overlooked. At Good Ranchers, we are proud to offer quality meats at a reasonable price. All of our cattle are grass-fed and grain-finished, which results in a rich taste and marbled texture, making our meats loved by so many. All of our livestock grow in stress-free environments and never fed anything unnatural.

Our meat is 100% American beef that is locally sourced from responsible farms and ranches throughout America’s heartland. This all sounds great, but what does it really mean when it comes to choosing the right meat?

Check out these 7 health-related benefits of eating grass-fed grain finished meat:
  1. Contains more healthy fats. Grass-fed beef can provide up to six times more of the healthy fats (grass-fed beef contains about 50% more omega-3 fatty acids than standard beef), and is also higher in antioxidants, which can help reduce inflammation, as well as other key nutrients that are good for overall health.
  2. Fewer calories. Grass-fed beef is lower in total calories, but has more nutritional value (see #1), so it’s a win-win!
Good Ranchers cattle are grass-fed and on a 100% Vegetarian diet. We start them on a grass diet then introduce them to a custom, all natural grain diet to get that “High-End Steakhouse” taste and rich flavor that our customers love so much! Doing this also helps keep our cost low so you can stock up on quality meats at great prices, without sacrificing any of the great taste.
  1. Keto-friendly. You’ll find ample amounts of all three essential electrolytes in grass-fed beef. Read more about grass-fed meat and ketogenic diets here.
  2. Reduces the risk of heart disease. Grass-fed beef has a lower amount of saturated fats, which can decrease the risk of heart disease. Grass-fed beef also has more CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), a type of fat that’s thought to reduce heart disease and cancer risks (see #7).
  3. Helps support normal blood sugar levels. If you’re insulin resistant, consuming grass-fed beef while following a regular ketogenic or keto-friendly lifestyle can drastically improve blood glucose levels, among other health benefits.
  4. Antibiotic and Hormone free. Eating grass-fed meat greatly reduces the risk of food poisoning when compared to only grain-fed beef. Good Ranchers meats are antibiotic free, and we never add hormones to our meats ensuring you get the “safer” beef option when you buy your meats from us.
  5. Helps fight cancer. CLA is considered one of the strongest nutrients to defend against and fight off cancer. CLA is found throughout the body and may regulate cholesterol levels and helpdisrupt cancer cell replication.
More About Good Ranchers Quality Meats And Inspections:

Unlike many of the other online meat companies, Good Ranchers meat isn’t just inspected but it’s also USDA graded. Out of the eight beef quality grades, we only use the two highest USDA grades: Prime & Choice. This ensures you are getting only the highest quality of beef each and every time you purchase from Good Ranchers. Not only is grass-fed beef healthier, it usually tastes better too, so that’s icing on top of the proverbial meat cake.

Good Ranchers mission is to provide families all over the country with affordable, tasty, high-quality meat you can trust. Be sure to check out our meat pop-up locations and visit us to stock up on quality meats. If you have any questions about our process of our meats, feel free to ask any of the Ranchers at our locations or contact us.
