Even with the New Year right in front of us, there will still be challenges related to COVID-19, and of course, there are still easy ways to protect yourself when you got out.
Below are just a few of our recommendations to ensure you are staying safe while visiting the grocery store, but we’d love to hear from you too. Have you learned any good hacks while grocery shopping during COVID-19?
Tips to protect yourself while grocery shopping:
Order food and groceries online, when you can.
Like our meat subscription boxes
, that ship free and deliver top quality steaks, chicken, and pork straight to your front door. At Good Ranchers, you can choose from four curated premium meat subscription boxes, that are guaranteed fresh and delicious each and every time. Ordering food online doesn’t always make sense, like if there are crazy shipping fees, but with Good Ranchers and many other online retailers, shipping is free, so it’s super easy and convenient.
Make a list in advance to limit your time in the store.
Not only does a grocery list ensure that you’re in and out and getting everything you need, it will usually prevent you from having to make multiple trips to the store, which is another tip we are sharing. If you can limit the amount of visits to the store, it’s easier for you and helps protect you.
Wear a mask and bring hand sanitizer.
While this is still mandated in many places, it’s always a good idea to have hand sanitizer on hand (no pun intended!) as well as masks. Also, it’s probably wise to have a few face coverings, so you can make sure you are washing them and keeping them sanitary as well. Many local grocery stores have also put a sanitizing station by the grocery carts, so take a few seconds to clean your cart before starting your shopping.
Practice social distancing while shopping.
Again, most stores will have signs for this all over to remind you, but it’s a great thing to practice. Keeping six-feet in between you and other shoppers will help keep you safe.
Wash your hands when you return home.
Hand washing should hopefully be something you and your family are already practicing, but this is even more important when returning from a store. We even recommend keeping hand sanitizer or disinfecting wipes in your car, so you can do it as soon as you leave the store.
Pandemic or not, these are all pretty helpful tips to keep in mind when shopping or out in the public. As always, ordering meat online
is a great option to not only limit your time in the grocery store, but to ensure you get USDA graded steaks with each order. Even if you have a local butcher, we guarantee you’ll love the taste and convenience of ordering Good Ranchers meat subscription boxes.
