Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Good Ranchers’ Ground Beef
  • ½ Yellow Onion, minced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp fresh Ginger, minced
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce, low-sodium
  • 1 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar, packed
  • ½ tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • Green onion and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet on medium-high heat, brown the ground beef using a spatula to break up the meat into small bits.
  2. Approximately 7 minutes into cooking, remove the beef bits with a slotted spoon and drain all oil from the skillet.
  3. Place back in the pan and add the sesame oil and minced onion, then continue to cook until the beef is well done.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Once the beef is well done and onion is soft, add your sauce mixture, stir together, and cook another 5-8 minutes.
  6. Serve on rice and top with sliced green onion and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Alternatively, this beef would be amazing in lettuce wraps or even as a taco!
