Smoked Chicken Breast Recipe

Smoked Chicken Breast is an easy and delicious way to cook chicken. Even though it takes longer to cook than other methods, the flavors developed while smoking are unique and so delicious. If you’re looking for an easy way to develop tons of flavor in your chicken, then this smoked chicken recipe is for you!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Good Ranchers chicken breast boneless skinless (4 small chicken breasts or 2 large chicken breasts)
  • 1 tbs ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbs olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat smoker to 225°F.
  1. Mix together seasoning in a small bowl.


  2. Pat chicken breast dry with a paper towel.


  3. Coat chicken breasts with olive oil, then coat with seasoning mixture.

  4. Smoke chicken until an internal temperature of 165°F is reached, typically, 2-3 hours depending on the thickness of your chicken breasts. There is no need to flip the chicken as it smokes.


  5. Once your chicken reaches 165°F, remove from smoker and allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing to help retain the juices.

Notes

Tips and Tricks

  • The thickness of your chicken breasts will determine how long it takes to cook.
  • If the chicken breasts are thin then it takes ~2hrs to smoke, thicker chicken breasts ~3 hrs.
