Ingredients:
Steak Marinade:
- 3 Tb Olive Oil
- Juice from one Lemon and the Zest
- 1/2 diced Onion
- 1 Tbs Minced Garlic
- 1 Tsp Cumin
- 1 Tsp Paprika
- 1 Tsp Coriander
- 1 Tsp Allspice
- 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 Tsp Oregano
- 1/2 Tsp Sumac
- 1 Tsp Salt and Pepper
- 1 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1 Tsp Corn Starch
Garlic sauce:
Simplified:
- 8 Tb Mayo
- - 2 Tb Minced Garlic
- ⁃ Juice from half a Lemon juice
- ⁃ 1 Tsp Dijon mustard
- ⁃ 1/2 Tsp Salt
Elevated:
- 1/2 cup Avocado Oil
- 2 Egg Yolks
- 2 Tbs Minced Garlic
- Juice from half a Lemon
- 1 Tsp Dijon Mustard
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
Additional items needed:
- 5 (4oz) Good Ranchers Flat Iron Steaks
- Pita bread
- Sliced Dill Pickle Spears
- Pickled Red Onions
- Tomatoes
- Parsley for garnish
Directions:
- Make the marinade for Shawarma.
- Cut your flat irons in half inch strips (against the grain).
- Place your meat in the marinade and let marinate.
- For the elevated garlic sauce, place ingredients in an immersion blender and blend up. Pro tip: add the oil slowly as you blend it to get the right consistency of the sauce.
- Place a pan on HIGH heat, and add some olive oil.
- Place meat in the pan and stir every 20-30 seconds till meat is cooked (2-3 minutes).
- Toast the pita bread.
- Combine sauce, meat, tomatoes, pickles, and top with more sauce. Voila!
