Juicy patties. Crispy onion rings. Just the right amount of sauce. This is the kind of burger that turns a regular backyard cookout into something worth remembering. Stack it high, savor every bite, and don’t be surprised when everyone asks for seconds.
Ingredients
For the Burgers:
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
4 slices of bacon
-
4 brioche buns
-
4 tbsp mayo (or to taste)
-
4 tbsp BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)
For the Onion Rings:
-
Frozen onion rings (enough for 4 burgers)
-
Lard, for frying
Instructions
1. Fry the Onion Rings:
Heat lard in a deep skillet or pan over medium-high heat.
Fry frozen onion rings in batches until golden brown and crispy, following the package instructions (usually 3–5 minutes).
Drain on paper towels and set aside.
2. Cook the Bacon:
Fry or bake the bacon until crispy. Set aside.
3. Cook the Burgers:
Season both sides of each patty with salt and pepper.
Grill or pan-fry until cooked to your preferred doneness (about 4–5 minutes per side for medium).
4. Toast the Buns:
Butter the brioche buns lightly, then toast them in a skillet or the oven until golden.
5. Assemble the Burgers:
Spread mayo on the bottom half of each bun and BBQ sauce on the top.
Layer the burger patty, bacon, and a generous stack of crispy onion rings.
Finish with the top bun and serve hot.
